While I do have plenty of free time, I am not in the business of selling services or programs. In addition, I can't use a free program because I simply don't have the time. For the most part, I want to get as much out of a product as possible, so I look for free versions because they are usually able to offer me quite a bit more functionality than what I pay for. This leads me to believe that the most accurate description of the best way to compare any two products I see is by looking at how much I can get out of the program without actually spending anything. Regardless of the application I'm using, I always like to ensure that I have the proper version. Since I don't normally take the time to try out new programs, I have little reason to go through the trouble of downloading and figuring out which version to buy.
